Today i started mood boarding some of our games locations to provide a better understanding of the games locations. However, I struggled to find the right pictures to correctly relay my idea. Because of this, I have decided to also write a short description of the location to assure that the art team have an accurate interpretation of my ideas.
I feel that this idea was successful, now my ideas are more clearly represented and are less likely to be misinterpreted, however, this decision will might mean that the art team will have less room for creative freedom - leaving them feeling trapped by my mood boards. To prevent this from happening, I will host a meeting between our two teams and discuss that the descriptions do not have to be 100% accurate but rather to give a clearer understanding of the locations' concepts.
