After drafting the script to its final versions, today I pitched the script concept in order to start the production of the marketing trailer and possibly produce a recording date.
Being rather well received, the script only needed a few minor tweaks. Feedback included to add the game's slogan idea somewhere into the script as to let all of the marketing material be coherent and follow a certain theme, something I will add when drafting the final version of the script. Dan, the animator, also had feedback; he liked script and it's length because it provided a challenge but wouldn't consume his workload - something i have in mind when writing any script, the workload added to all elements of production.
With the success of my script, we decided a recording date and that Jess and I would now work towards finding actor(s) that would like to star in our trailer. However, the search ended relatively quickly once we found Tom, a willing actor for our trailer. With our actor and script in place, we asked we decided on a date that would be best for us all: the 8th of march - our recording date.
Today allowed for development of our trailer and therefore this progression was very successful, by completing both of my goals when pitching my script. With today in mind, I will revisit my script and complete it to its final draft - to be ready for our recording date.
